We know children learn through exploration and we want to make their outdoor playtime meaningful. These ages have up to 7 playgrounds to explore during their time at ACT and each playground inspires them to play and interact in different ways. Our variety of playgrounds are wonderful, unique large spaces for children to get curious and learn by asking questions and investigating for answers.
Our playgrounds are tucked away behind our building, not visible from the street, and enclosed by an 8-foot privacy fence. The property is monitored by over 70 security cameras and there are biometric locks on entryways. We take every measure to keep your child safe.
Our highly qualified staff bring your child exciting and enriching learning experiences each day. Children are always trying to grasp new concepts and meet new milestones, and our preschool teachers have the patience, flexibility, and lots of love for all our little learners.
Since 1977, our school has provided a Christ-centered academic foundation for many children. Teachers help the children understand that God loves them no matter what and that this is a safe place for them to grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, and academically. We are always looking for fresh and exciting ways to introduce the children to academic concepts. The teachers create delightful environments and use unique themes to bring learning to life. Student’s learning is always hands-on as teachers guide them through foundational concepts to prepare them for academic success.
A Child’s Touch is a Christ-centered school that has a strong focus on academics, with a mission to teach children that God loves them unconditionally. Bible stories come to life during storytime, songs, and dramatic play.
Each day brings planned hands-on activities that cover concepts needed to move on to Pre-K, such as recognition of numbers, shapes, colors, and letters. Teachers also guide the children with their fine-motor skills through activities such as cutting, playdough time, tracing, and lacing activities. Children will also begin to work on name recognition and printing. Storytime, art, and free play are also a must every day to give children time to be creative, move their bodies, and have fun!
In addition to building confidence, practical skills allow children to learn to become more independent. While they work on self-help skills and being responsible, teachers encourage them, help them problem solve, and praise the process of continually trying, not their capability or the achievement. Raising strong-willed, independent kids is key in future life success and we want to work with families to help raise self-sufficient, confident children.
There is no better way for children to connect to who they are than by developing new interests, identifying various hobbies, and exploring exciting experiences. We provide age-appropriate opportunities for little learners to make decisions and navigate through a variety of engaging spaces. Whether these classrooms are going to the Music Room, the Kid’s Kitchen, the On-site Children’s Museum, the Water Marina, the Shade-a-Saurus, the Nature Cabins, the Columbine Memorial and Prayer Garden, the Circle of Honor, or the various gardens, they will learn new skills at their own pace and grow into themselves during their time here.
Each area of the On-Site Children’s Museum allows for interactive, imaginative learning. Dramatic play is key at the Creation Station and in the General Store. Curiosity and critical thinking skills are a must at the Inventor’s House. And Kids can practice and perfect their motor skills in the Discovery Gym.
Healthy breakfast, lunch, and snacks are prepared on-site every day by our in-house kitchen staff and presented to your kiddo in a kid-friendly form.
Each week teachers will send pictures or videos to showcase fun activities in the classroom. See what your child has been doing to spark a conversation and save photos and videos special to you so that you can have a keepsake of your child’s smiling face as they play and learn with their friends.
